Description
In the spiritual realm, the rise and fall, inflow and outflow of mental energy are considered very common phenomena. In Tantra, while performing tantric practices, it is believed that spirits, malevolent entities, demons, or other negative forces may exert negative mental influence. To prevent such influences, the practice of creating a protective barrier around oneself through a binding ritual is widely followed.
Certain stones, crystals, or consecrated talismans are believed to create a protective shield, but their effects are considered temporary. This is because such stones, crystals, or talismans are said to work by helping maintain the balance of the body’s Kundalini energy centers (chakras). If a person’s Kundalini energy is not awakened, or if they do not know how to maintain that balance, the protective barrier is believed not to last for very long.
According to this tradition, the most effective solution is a mantra. By reciting the mantra once a day and establishing a protective boundary, one can feel completely secure. A mantra is essentially a composition of sacred words, similar in form to a poem or verse. However, when a mantra has been perfected and empowered through spiritual attainment (siddhi), it is believed to acquire immense spiritual power.
Mental energy is believed to be directed by the soul; therefore, according to this belief system, no physical object alone can create a true protective wall. It can only be addressed through spiritual means. Once such a protective boundary has been established, tantric, mental, and spiritual practices can be carried out with greater confidence.
Create a protective spiritual boundary before engaging in tantric practices, mental disciplines, mantra recitation, or when seeking protection from negative spiritual influences by performing the following Spiritual Walling.
