For this reason, one should practice restraint in speech. And if someone has accidentally cursed another, it is advised to remove the effects of the curse through the use of these mantras.

It is believed that reciting mantras without initiation from a guru does not bring results. However, this mantra is said to include a guru mantra along with it, so separate guru initiation is not required.
