Baan Mara Neutralization. Baan mara Nivaran or Katan.
In Tantra there is a practice called Baan Mara (striking with arrows). We read about shooting arrows in the Ramayana and the Mahabharata, but this is not the same kind of arrow. This is the tantric’s arrow, created with mantra, yantra, and tantra. With its use, tantrics are believed to harm or kill people. There are different kinds of these arrows: dry arrow, wet arrow, lust arrow, blood arrow, etc.
How is the arrow (baan) cast?
Generally, it is launched through the help of a yantra (mystical diagram). Many times, a doll is made, yantras are drawn on it, mantras inscribed, and then the arrow is cast through it. This consecrated doll is buried in a cemetery or cremation ground. Sometimes, talismans are tied around the neck of a fish like shingi or magur, and the arrow is cast that way.
The doll used in this process often contains personal elements of the target, such as nails, hair, semen, blood, menstrual discharge, clothing, powdered skin, etc. Then life-force is ritually invoked into the doll. At that point, the tantric holds control over a “second self” of the targeted person. The doll is then pierced with needles, hot oil is poured on it, or it is cut with blades.
Sometimes spirits are also employed in casting arrows. A spirit is subjugated and sent to possess the target’s body, bringing harm.
A dry arrow causes the victim’s body to shrivel up, twist like rope or wire, weaken, and die prematurely. Many suddenly become thin; doctors may say it is due to diabetes, but the “real cause” is ignored.
A lust arrow involves sending a spirit to sexually assault the victim, usually women. The spirit forces intercourse against the woman’s will, driving her insane and eventually causing death.
A blood arrow causes unexplained bleeding—through eyes, nose, or mouth—until the victim weakens and dies.
A wet arrow causes fluid to accumulate in the victim’s body, making them ill and leading to death.
