In Vedic astrology, the Moon represents the inner self. We know that the Moon influences the tides of the seas due to its proximity to Earth. Similarly, it has an effect on the human body and mind. The Moon is even considered the most influential planet, governing the mind, subconscious, emotions, instincts, behavior, moods, and feelings.

Chandra Dosha occurs when, at birth, the Moon is closest to a ruling star (constellation). If the Moon is strong, it reflects positively on a person’s health, wealth, and emotional stability.

Chandra Dosha means a weak Moon during the Chandra Mahadasha (major Moon period). A weak Moon can create problems in life and harm relationships.

Some of the issues one might face include:

Body aches, weakness, and laziness.

Drowsiness and feeling weak throughout the day.

Mental stress, weakness, or headaches are common for those affected by Chandra Dosha.

Mood swings and depression may be experienced by some.

Disturbing, nonsensical, or fearful dreams; feeling anxious or fearful.

Poor sleep at night.

Damage to relationships.

Financial crises.

Some women may also experience menstrual problems and fertility issues.

If the negative effects of Chandra Dosha are causing ongoing problems in your life, the bad influence of the Moon can be reduced by installing a Siddha Chandra Yantra at home and performing worship rituals.
